I like nothing more than crunching a bit of baby name data :)

Alexander - 22 last year
Michael - 51 last year
Andrew - 129 last year
Paul - 215 lsat year

This is only for England and Wales, though.

You need this

Alexander was the 22nd most popular name last year. 2981 boys were named Alexander in England and Wales.

Michael was 51st (1385 boys).

Andrew was 129th (455 boys).

Paul 215th (only 211 boys were named Paul last year).

Hope that helps Xmas Smile

Bue, when I first read your post I thought you meant 22 boys were called Alexander, 51 called Michael etc.

AphraBen · 03/12/2010 17:59

Michael is the most popular boys name in the US and has been for about 40 yrs!

Yes I realised afterwards I wasn't very clear! I just assume everyone is a freak like me and knows the ins and outs of baby name data. Grin
