What do you think to boy name Brodie? (Scottish spelling as opposed to Brody american sp.) Husband is dead keen on this which makes me like it even more as he hasn't shown much enthusiasm for anything else. However, I also like Daniel, to be shortened to Danny. He thinks Daniel is a bit of a wuss's name!

Really like it, and I assumed it was a boys names before I clicked on the thread and saw some thought it might be for girls.

Have to laugh at myself for going back to main thread and finding it says (boy) that'll be why I assumed it was a boys name then Grin

Although I'm pretty sure I would have thought that anyway!

I only know one and it is a girl

We have a little Brodie at our yard and althouh I'd never heard it in relation to a boy before I really like it - sounds pretty cool to me without being 'stupidly trendy' iyswim?

Have met/heard of a couple of boys called Brodie. Cool name imo.

Dh wouldn't put Daniel on our list as he reckoned he'd get "Dan-the-man" all the time (Lanarkshire stylee) and that does his head in.

Good luck and congrats.

tammytoby · 04/12/2010 20:54

Brodie is much cooler and less overused than Dan/Daniel imo.

I went to school in Scotland with a few boys called Brodie, I've always liked the name.

So I vote yes!
