ShanahansRevenge · 01/12/2010 22:53

yes...it's lovely. Always been fond of it.

A1980 · 01/12/2010 23:08

Reminds me of Moniker

hobbgoblin · 01/12/2010 23:09

Not keen on the sound of it, what's the meaning?

goplayout · 01/12/2010 23:24

Oh dear, sorry NO...imho!

SirBoobAlot · 01/12/2010 23:28

Just makes me think of Friends.

homelyperson · 02/12/2010 16:48

I really like the name Monica.

HowsTheSerenity · 02/12/2010 16:49

First thing I think of is friends sorry.

minipie · 02/12/2010 16:51

Nope, sorry, it's the friends thing mainly.

How about Marina, Melissa, Minerva, Matilda, Melinda?

JiltedJohnsJulie · 02/12/2010 17:07

No.

PsecretSantead · 02/12/2010 17:17

I like it a lot. I kept putting it on my list and then remembering that it sounds almost exactly like our surname and would therefore be ridiculous.

lilly13 · 02/12/2010 17:25

I like it. I think it is very American, though (not a bad thing if you live in the UK, as it is quite rare here imho)...

Lonnie · 02/12/2010 17:52

I have always loved the name Monica however our oldest is Phoebe and dd no 2 was born during the Monica Lewinski "thing" so I never got my Monica but oh i love it

mathanxiety · 02/12/2010 18:43

The Monica Lewinski thing was the only thing that put me off using it for DD3 -- another fan here.

Monica was a very ancient saint from Roman North Africa, the mother of Saint Augustine of Hippo.

swanandduck · 04/12/2010 22:29

Sorry, but really hate that name. It's frumpy and middle aged.

BarbieLovesKen · 04/12/2010 22:58

Its ok. I immediately think of Friends.

expectingno3 · 05/12/2010 09:15

First thing that came to mind was Monica Lewisnski. Its alright, but I think there are nicer names tbh.

ShoppingDays · 05/12/2010 17:05

Yes, I like it.

flopsy1974 · 06/12/2010 15:49

Monica is lovely, and I haven't heard it for a while.

FindingMyMojo · 06/12/2010 16:07

how about Monique for a non-Friends variation? Had a best friend in school called Monique - lovely name

Komondor · 06/12/2010 17:47

I love the name Monica. Don't like Monique though.

MuffinMouse · 06/12/2010 20:37

I do think of Friends or Lewinski - but how much longer will any of that last?

What about Erica? Similar and unusual. Or Erin?

PressureDrop · 06/12/2010 20:38

It's a nice name.
