I strongly felt first DC was a boy and was right and strongly feel this one is a girl.
So we have narrowed down the girls names to the following:
Susie
Leila
Louisa
Charlotte

What peoples thoughts and/or preferences?

Love Susie but with Susannah as a full name. Also love Leila but have an old friend of that name so it's out for me. The others are a tad dull. Sorry :)

SirBoobAlot · 21/11/2010 20:05

Louisa or Charlotte from your list.

Leila just makes me think "and Stitch", and Susie isn't a full name.

snowmummy · 21/11/2010 20:10

Louisa is my favourite, followed by Charlotte. I don't much like Leila, and I'm not too sure about Susie.

KenDoddsDadsDog · 21/11/2010 20:11

Louisa then Susie if it's a nn for Susannah.

pointydog · 21/11/2010 20:18

I like Louisa a lot.
Charlotte a close second.

Leila much further behind in third position.

Susie failing to make the finishing line.

onimolap · 21/11/2010 20:26

I like Louisa best, then Charlotte and Susie (if nn for Susan or Susannah).

PlonkerForLifeNotJustChristmas · 21/11/2010 20:32

1 - Susie
2 - Louisa (but only if pn with a soft 's' and not Louiza
3 - Charlotte (love nn's Charlie and Lottie)
4 - Leila

weepootle · 21/11/2010 20:35

Louisa then Charlotte, have always loved both. Don't like Susie or Leila.

weegiemum · 21/11/2010 20:37

I like Susie, as nn for Susan.

But its my name lol!

Bue · 21/11/2010 20:46

Definitely Louisa!

NadiaWadia · 21/11/2010 20:54

Susie is adorable - as a nickname. Susanna(h) absolutely beautiful as the full name. You can't have a high court judge called Susie!

You other choices are all nice too, although prefer Louise or Luisa to Louisa.

MerryMarigold · 21/11/2010 20:56

Charlotte or Leila. My Mum is Leila and I like it, ver pretty. Nice names. Louisa bit old I think...

FanjolinaJolie · 21/11/2010 20:59

Louisa

goingroundthebend4 · 21/11/2010 21:15

Leila and spelt that way not the Eric clapton way Dd name so might be tad biased Wink

occasionally gets shortned to Lei

Dolittlest · 21/11/2010 21:18

All nice names. Susannah with Susie as a nn would be lovely.

johnnycomelurky · 21/11/2010 21:38

I like Leila and Louisa best.

piscesmoon · 21/11/2010 21:55

1.Louisa
2.Susie -but only if short for Susannah

  1. Charlotte

Don't like Leila

Hedwig3 · 22/11/2010 10:47

Leila wins easily for me.

smother · 22/11/2010 11:47

Susie - love, but if a nn for Susannah
Leila - can't get excited about this name (layla, lily, lila.. all merge into one in my mind)
Louisa - my favourite. a great underused classic, beautiful, with lovely nns too (Louie, Loulou etc)
Charlotte - for some irrational reason, this is one of my least favourite girls names.

frakkinup · 22/11/2010 11:53

Louisa is my favourite I think.

Susie would be fine as a nn for Suzanne, Susannah etc but not as a full name. I agree with the judge comment!

LilyBolero · 22/11/2010 11:54

Leila or Louisa. Or Susannah.

ensure · 22/11/2010 13:27

I like Susie and Louisa. But I don't think this thread will help you at all as there seems to be no consensus! Except that most people prefer Susannah to Susie. I, for one, think you could have a judge Susie; she could always be Sue.

thereisalightanditnevergoesout · 22/11/2010 13:38

I like Louisa - but then I am biased as it's my name (even though it's a bit dull according to Rockbird Wink).

Lpsmum · 22/11/2010 16:13

Great thanks all - really appreciate your opinions.
We've decided on either Susanna or Louisa.
I'm actually amazed how quickly and easily we narrowed it down considering how long we've been procrastinating the discussion. Roll on January to meet her (or maybe him)

I'm not sure Louisa would suit a boy... Wink
