What do you think of Marissa?

What do you think of Marissa as a girl's name? It's listed on Mumsnet's Baby Name Finder.

I prefer the usual spelling, Marisa (the doubling of the "s" makes me think of harissa paste).

Prefer Melissa

I think it's pretty and a bit unusual without being to unusual, i had it on my list

It's ok, bit 80s. Not keen. Prefer Marianne or Maribel. But I guess as they are more contemporary, then that would make Marissa more unusual (if you care).

At school with one in 70s (same spelling) - I like it.
