Freddie v Rocky

Hi There

My sister is currently 39 weeks and stressing between 2 names - Freddie and Rocky.

She knows that Freddie is the 'safer' option, but likes Rocky - but wonders if its a bit too wacky!!

Opinions on either name?

Fred/Freddie is ok but a little dull. And there are already so many...

The boy's name Rocky \r(oc)-cy\ is pronounced RAH-kee. It is of English origin. Nickname for Rocco (Italian), the name of a 14th-century saint. Saint Roque (16th century) was a Spanish saint. The nickname is also familiar today due to champion boxer Rocky Marciano and his fictional counterpart, Rocky Balboa, of the "Rocky" series of movies.

Much cooler and interesting than Freddie. I think your sister should definately go with Rocky!

I quite like Rocky, actually, it is quite cool and not overused.

Freddie/Fred is ok but indeed a little dull. Also reminds me of Fred West, the serial killer.
