Jilo - or is that just silly?

I like the sound of Jilo for a boy, wondering what everyone else might think? 'Gilo' is a name, but I want to avoid the G initial. Opinions please, and why!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Ridiculous

ShatnersBassoon · 04/11/2010 12:59

It sounds like the punchline of a Bernard Manning joke.

I wanted to call all of mine Poopsmith. I think it's the perfect baby name.

YouNeverCanTell · 04/11/2010 16:09

No. Silly.

corygal · 04/11/2010 16:10

You've certainly hit on something.

'Individualising' celeb or brand names could catch on.

I'd customise away for my kids - what about Bumberry or Blench?

SuePurblybilt · 04/11/2010 16:11

Poopsmith excellent name. Shitecrafter better.

Sorry OP, Jilo will not end up well I think.

Have some chocolate and step away from the baby name books.

Let Constance choose the name, I am sure she is very good at you.

oh, how did that happen?

CoteDAzur · 04/11/2010 18:09

My first thought was J-Lo. As in, Jennifer Lopez.

Ishouldhavechosenagoldfish · 05/11/2010 23:23

Thanks, ladies, seriously - J-Lo hadn't even occurred to me [completely out of touch emoticon]. And I haven't even started on the baby name books yet. Can I have Gallio? Smile

Very silly Confused

Ishouldhavechosenagoldfish · 06/11/2010 08:35

Still silly? Gallio is biblical, FWIW. Smile

Gallio sounds a lot better for my money. Jilo sounded completely made up, whereas Gallio sounds little used but historic.

emptyshell · 08/11/2010 08:21

My first thought was actually Li-lo Lil from Bread (showing my age here)

GooseyLoosey · 08/11/2010 08:24

My first thought was "what"? and my second "Jello?". My final thought is "silly", but I doubt that will come as a surprise to you.
