I found out today I'm having my fourth (EEEK!) boy. We already have Noah, Finlay & Oscar. I have used all of my favouite boy names and am completely stuck!

Please throw some suggestions at me.

I have an Oscar!

My others are called Tyler and Harry, if that's any help.

Leo

Jacob
Stanley
Archie
Tayler

Dexter. This is my top of the pops name at the moment. Congratulations!

Theo, Isaac, Felix, Jago, Toby, Leo, Jasper, Caspar and Amos

From your list, I like Theo (love Theo in fact), Isaac (good NN potential I think) and Leo. Amos sounds a bit like he should be leaning on a gate with a bit of straw in his mouth. Not keen on the others. I always thinkof labradors when I hear the name Toby. Like Tobias though.

Ooh yes, Giles is nice; men called Giles always seem to be very handsome.

Except Giles Brandreth.

So many fab ideas here.

I think he will be Hugo, Isaac or Leo. I'm liking the sugg. of Rufus but DH thinks it's too 'doggy'.

Hugo v posh. Are you posh? I think you need to be to be called Hugo. I was at primary school with a Hugo and they were really posh in a very shabby genteel way. I fell over and had three stitches in my chin and was most put out when he turned up after the weekend with about 30 stitches, having fallen through a French window, and stole all my thunder.

Yes, this was my worry too midnight. We are well spoken but don't speak with plums in mouths!

Isaac is very popular right now, we have an Isaac and i've met 7 since June :(

pearlgirl · 03/11/2010 12:50

We have 4 boys too - and it was hard choosing a name for our number 4.
from the suggestions above I like Isaac, Giles and Jasper.

Tamasine · 03/11/2010 14:04

My DS1 is 3 and is Isaac - we love it as at the moment he is "Ikey" and it suits him very well. Then when he's older he can go back to being Isaac all the time (or Ike!)

Gutted it's getting so popular though - but then it's a fab name ... :o

mamatomany · 03/11/2010 14:10

Our LO is Izzy Blush or izac pronounced like he was made by the Apple corporation.

CheerfulYank · 03/11/2010 17:13

Hugo is great, don't think you have to be uber posh to pull it off. Of course I'm American and have only a vague idea of "posh" connotations :)

Marjee · 03/11/2010 21:48

I love your ds's names (I have an Oscar too)!

I think Isaac will go perfectly with them. I'll have a little think and post back with any more I think of

Marjee · 04/11/2010 00:06

A few more I've thought of - Milo
Isiah
Elijah
Moses
Jonah
Tobias
Ryan
Xavier
Sebastian

I know some are more than 2 syllables and some are biblical so feel free to ignore!

glastocat · 04/11/2010 00:10

Jude
Oisin
Rory

Hugo and Giles are v. v. posh, I'm not keen.

cloudydays · 04/11/2010 02:29

What great names! I think Leo or Hugo would go perfectly.

Just wanted to add a note on Felix: It's a good name, but in addition to having two "F"s you would have an Oscar and a Felix. Those are the names of the characters in The Odd Couple (stageshow and very well known U.S. sitcom about two men - one a slob, the other a neat freak - living together and driving each other crazy). Might not be so much an issue in the UK if the characters aren't as well known, but in the US I think it's the first thing a lot of people would think of if someone said "I'm Oscar, and this is my brother Felix."

Both great names individually, though!

3nearly4 · 11/03/2011 20:16

Just thought I'd update you. Boy number 4 is here, safe and beautiful. We named him Hugo.
