She's sat next to me right now reading all the names, so wanted to suggest a few of her own.

Boys
Alfie

Girls
Ruby

Nice names, but both overused.

onimolap · 31/10/2010 10:28

To me, Ruby = Ruby Murray = Curry.

TrinityTheTwattyRhino · 31/10/2010 10:34

I like Alfie, never known one so I dont know where it is being overused Grin

not keen on Ruby but dont know why

thereisalightanditnevergoesout · 31/10/2010 18:16

It's being overused where I live!

Actually, both Ruby and Alfie are very popular where we are (near Norwich) - I think I've met/know of about 5 of each.

Used to love the name Ruby but I know too many now. Still a nice name though!

Alfie is a nickname and not a full name IMO!

Mitchymum · 31/10/2010 18:25

LOL not to worry, she is only 13 and was just joining in cos I was hogging the boards.

She definitely has better taste at 13 that I did. I only wanted girls and wanted to call all sorts of weird things!!

nannynobnobs · 31/10/2010 18:31

I always wanted Ruby as an option as it's an old family name but it's so popular now! There are loads of Alfies round here too.

SlaughteredSheep · 31/10/2010 18:35

Yes, probably better taste than me at 13 too! My names probably would have been Precious and Ocean or something!

SalaDo · 01/11/2010 16:22

Alfie is SO overused here. There are 4 in DD's (reception) class and 5 in School Nursery. Would have been nice aboput 6 years ago.

ilovesprouts · 01/11/2010 16:24

charlie .finley .lucas oakley .oliver

GetOrfMoiLand · 01/11/2010 16:25

Eastenders names.

tammytoby · 01/11/2010 17:33

I find both very dull and overused.

valiumskeleton · 01/11/2010 18:20

Tell her to get ahead of the currrrrrrve man.

CheerfulYank · 01/11/2010 18:44

There are no Alfies here in my little corner of the US and I know only one Ruby. I think they're nice. :) Of course I don't know any Finns or Poppys either and very few Jacks...here it's all Jakes and Madisons.

Nice names, I think.

Mitchymum · 01/11/2010 18:58

LOL she has never seen Eastenders, so that can't be her inspiration.

What about Archie and Cleo?

mumtobe83 · 07/11/2010 23:27

alfie is a nice name, but a friend of mine had a dog called ruby so not keen on that for a baby.
