DH and I have found it much harder to agree on a girls name. (Probably because we have two already).

We have Gaynor Prudentia and Gudren Delphine.

My favourite is Gerda as they will all sound lovely together. DH is totally disinterested in having another girl and wont really discuss ideas. (It might be me being a bit sensitive; but he really only talks about boys names).

First Names
Dympna, Perdita, Bernice, Gerda, Candida, Danute,

Middles -Flower names as mn. Don't like popular ones so:

Petunia
Zinnia
Blodwen
Violante

Candida is another name for thrush: please don't name a child after a yeast infection.

lowrib · 31/10/2010 09:20

From your lists I like Perdita, Zinnia and Blodwen.

Worrying, I know 3 of you first names and one of your middle names in RL.

saucetastic · 31/10/2010 09:24

If this isn't a joke thread...

Berenice is lovely. Nice history about it also. The extra 'e' makes all the difference, i think.

GivesHeadlessHorseman · 31/10/2010 09:29

I love Delphine most but that's not help is it!

Don't like Gerda, Candida (thrush) Dymphna or Petunia at all.

Zinnia is pretty.

Blodwen is a bit ploddy and clunky - Bronwen or Arwen are much prettier and softer sounding.

Violante? did you mean Voilette? You can't give a little girl a name that souns like 'violent' surely?

Perdita is very nice - Perdy for short is pretty.

Not keen on Bernice but I love Bernadette.

How about Daphne or Dahlia? They are gorgeous.

Are you serious?

MumBarTheDoorZombiesAreComing · 31/10/2010 15:49

Hi Dolphin.

Rhubarbgarden · 31/10/2010 19:05

Love Perdita. Zinnia is okay.

Gerda is lovely but too close to Gudren (which I love too).

itwasSHAMEFUL · 31/10/2010 19:18

Have you swallowed an H E Bates novel?

I like Gerda best but don't think it goes with any of your second name choices.

Gerda Lupin

Gerda Primrose

Gerda Crocus

Gerda Snowdrop

Don't take this personally as you have asked for opinion, they're awful.

Of all the beautiful names there are out there and among these choices are a yeast infection a girl and a name that contains the word anus for a boy.

mathanxiety · 01/11/2010 00:28

Danuta Zinnia. If you insist on those names.

Dagmar is lovely imo. Dagmar Iolanthe..

Goingspare · 01/11/2010 00:51

I used to work with a Guenever, just to chuck another 'G' into the mix.

readywithwellies · 01/11/2010 11:28

Imagine the post when they are older

Miss G .....
Miss G .....
Miss G .....

Who does it belong to??

RockBat · 01/11/2010 11:31

Um, they are all horrible, every single one. Sorry.

poppydaisy · 01/11/2010 13:12

I like Perdita, nickname Perdy.

Not sure about the others, but Zinnia sounds lovely and feminine.

How about Viola?

mopsyflopsy · 01/11/2010 13:18

Petunia is nice - given all the other flower names around (Lilly, Rose, etc) this would be a lovely alternative.

I love Delphine Smile.
