Boys combined top names

I have added all the different spellings from the boys 2009 ONS stats. I didn't put Jake/Jacob, Oliver/Ollie Ben/Benjamin etc together, and I didn't include any hyphenated names either.

Max, Alex and Ben would be in the top 10 if I had added all the Ben, Max names and Alex/Alexander together.

Lewis should be 23 and Archie 24.

My nan said Mohammad was top too (she also reads the DM) and I said no, its only in the midlands. I didn't know they weren't including the 14 different spellings of it. Surely it is still the same bloody name.

I'm not some crazed DM reader BTW. It really is No. 1!

I did some aggregating of the girls names, just for my own purposes so not everyone will agree with the groupings but (if I can remember correctly now my brain is fuddled!) I followed similar rules to you pickler, only combining where they appeared to sound exactly the same. No promises on accuracy either!
