Trying to think of names with a similar sound:

Carmel
Cara
Harmony
Tara
Lara
Maren

Portia? Mercedes? Marina?

Aida? Tosca? Melisande? Isolde?

Yes not too many names similar, Carmel is nice, but people say it reminds them of Caramel.

See the thread totally lost my way with baby girl names for names similar to Carmen. I suggested Scarlett - any good?

cece · 22/10/2010 21:17

Cleo

GhastlyandUgly · 22/10/2010 21:22

I love Manon...not sure if that helps?

rachxx · 22/10/2010 21:37

Love Scarlett, but too many friends etc have a scarlett, so only can have as middle name.

Like Cleo, but worried everyone will say 'oh like the car' It wa on the top of our list for a while.

Charmian - which you pronounce as Karmian - not with a 'Ch' sound. Its from Shakespeare (Antony and Cleopatra).

AuraofDora · 23/10/2010 16:01

carmela ?

KatieScarlett2833 · 23/10/2010 16:05

Barman?
Self-harmin?
Farmin?

Bizet?

Fot the love of all thats holy don't call your child Charmain, my DC's will immediately re-name her "Bog-Roll", regardless of Shakespearian connection.

NadiaWadia · 23/10/2010 18:48

?
I think its pronounced kar - mee -an so I don't really see the connection with the 'bogroll'. Anyway you have put the 'a' and 'i' the wrong way round.

The product has been renamed now hasn't it - to Cushelle.

I bow to your superior knowledge of arse wiping products.

Teenagers wont give a toss about how it is "supposed" to be pronounced. If you don't believe me ask poor Cunt (Kurt) Walker in 4Q3.

forehead · 23/10/2010 19:02

Clara

NadiaWadia · 23/10/2010 20:01
