If our surname begins with a B, can we have a first name that starts with a B?

Let's say our surname was Bone (it's not), could we have a Jacob? Do you think the two b's running into each other make it too difficult to pronounce?

I think it sounds fine and is not hard to pronounce.

You mean a first name that ends with B. Jacob is better than Bobby would be.

Confused by thread title. Do you mean ends with a B?

If so, I think there is no problem with that. Just see how the two words sound together and check they don't make a single word.

For example if your surname was Bean I might avoid Jacob as it makes "Jacobean" etc.

Oh yes - first name that ends with a b, sorry Blush

Can I blame it on PG exhaustion? Im seriously struggling to keep my eyes open today.

I quite like Caleb - but we have a B surname.
