Middle name for Claudia

DH wants Amelie which I like but then her initials would be CAC, which I don't like for obvious reasons.

Need a name like Louise but can't have that as it's dd1's middle name. Any bright ideas anyone?

How about Claudia June?

MmeBodyInTheBasement · 18/10/2010 08:21

Gloomy
The West Wing is a fictional account of life in the West Wing of the White House, ie. the President and staffers. It is a FAB series, and CJ Cregg, the White House press secretary is a wonderful character. A clever, funny, kind and thoughtful woman.

Is the Cloud-ia side of the family German? That is how DH's family would pronounce it.

OliviaMumsnet · 18/10/2010 08:29

I was coming on to suggest Claudia-Jean
I am seriously considering josiah edward JEd if this baby is a boy Grin

MmeBodyInTheBasement · 18/10/2010 08:42

I love Josiah Edward / Jed. Cool name. Does rather out you as a WW nut though.

Here, Gloomy - CJ was played by Allison Janney

ValiumSkeleton · 18/10/2010 08:42

I didn't watch x factor but Jedward sounds like a normal name to me now. Confused The power of the media.

What about Red? (with Reuben Edward in full)

MmeBodyInTheBasement · 18/10/2010 08:44

Btw, OliviaMN, do you not have a baby name thread running? I am sure that we could all help you with a name. :)

EvilEyeButterPie · 18/10/2010 08:45

I'd go for Claudia Octavia Julia. Mainly because I was watching I clavdivs last night.

GloomyTubeNosedBat · 18/10/2010 08:47

MMBITB not German but Italian

Patricia? We considered that for DD2 but DH felt like a class traitor and I refused to call her Plebia :)

MmeBodyInTheBasement · 18/10/2010 08:56

Claudia Rose is very pretty, but Rose is very popular at the moment.

Will you need something that the Italian side of the family can pronounce?

Claudia Ellen

Claudia Eve

Claudia Ruth

Claudia Iris

I think that short names work well with Claudia.

GloomyTubeNosedBat · 18/10/2010 09:14

We've settled on Claudia Elizabeth. The fact that DH and I have actually agreed on two names has kind of amazed both of us, so we aren't going to search any further!! The Italians won't have to pronounce the "th" on a daily basis as it's her middle name.

That is a very pretty name, well done.

Hide the baby name books now and don't tell anyone the name you have chosen until after she arrives.

GloomyTubeNosedBat · 18/10/2010 10:22

thank u. Also thanks to everyone for all the other suggestions.

Claudia Jane

Deliaskis · 18/10/2010 16:40

LOL at the West Wing fans on here. DH and I are having problems because we like lots of WW names - really like Claudia (although probably Claudia Jane instead of Jean), and Josiah (Edward), and Toby.

But it makes us sound like loons doesn't it?

I guess if we only used one of them it would be OK?

Agree in general short names work well with Claudia - Eve, May, Grace etc.
