OK, these names are for a hypothetical baby. DD is only 10 months and I am not going to TTC again til next year. But! Which is your favourite/least favourite out of these?:

Martha
Clara
Ursula
Katerina

We're sorted for a boy...

oh defo Clara then... lovely match with Elsa.

Too many SSS with Ursula.

MrsC2010 · 09/10/2010 22:40

Hmm, Martha or Clara.

niccibabe · 10/10/2010 13:31

Clara - I think of Clara Schumann, or the rich girl in the Heidi story. Mussolini never occured to me.

Ursula meaning "little bear", puts me off a bit, and the arse-sula nn puts me off a lot.

Martha okay, so long as you never intend having a DS called Arthur.

snowmummy · 10/10/2010 15:29

Clara is top of my list for a girl at the moment.

1Catherine1 · 10/10/2010 16:24

Martha is quite nice and unusual.

Ursula is sort of an old woman's name to me but then my friends Nana when I was growing up was called Ursula and she was like a second gran to me.

Katerina I dislike because it will constantly be pronounced as Katrina which will become irritating for her. Angry

Clara I dislike because for some reason it sounds too American for me. Don't ask me why, but to me it does. Confused

Martha - love, sweet for a little girl, beautiful for a grown-up and perfect for old age!
Clara - love too, have noticed it's getting more popular if that bothers you
Ursula - not so keen, not sure why. I quite like Shulagh but maybe not to your taste.
Katerina - like Kate very much, not sure about katerina
