Marianne?

We are considering this for DD2 - we are looking for a 3 syllable name that is "old-style" feminine without being frilly.

What are your thoughts?

Aye, I always think that she is so caught up in fighting for liberty, equality and fraternity (or would the better translation be brotherhood?) that she has forgotten to do up her clothes properly. I often do that, although less of the battle, more of the phone ringing after breastfeeding.

I think it's lovely. It's on our list. I know a Mariann (no 'e') who is Hungarian and a Marianna who is Greek, too.
