Please help with Scottish or Irish girl's names

My baby is due on Saturday and I'm having major issues choosing her name.

I'm planning on having a Swahili first name (mine is Swahili) with an Irish or Scottish middle name (my Mum's Irish and Dad's Scottish). I think I've narrowed down her first name to either Imara or Inaya. I don't think names beginning with a vowel sound right after them. And names ending with an -a or -e sort of sound would sound a bit awkward I think.

So can anyone come up with anything to go after either of them at all? The options I have so far are Maeve, Niamh and Róisín but I'm not entirely convinced by them at the moment.

I like unusual names, so feel free to suggest names other might not consider. And maybe give me the pronunciation in case I can't wrk it out.

Fingers crossed someone comes up with something suitable that I like.

I have a Niamh so don't use that. Don't want too many of them around.

Chewy, I like them all except Morag but don't think they sound right after either of my first names.
Muggle, Niamh is deffinitely my favourite but I'm dubious about whether it sounds right-Inaya Niamh or Imara Niamh. It's only a second name, please let me consider it!!

TBH I think Niamh sounds the best after your 2 possible first names. The problem with alot of Gaelic names is they also end in -ah sounds.

Morven is my favourite Scottish name for a girl. I would name mine this but a friend has already taken it. Her nickname is "morvalina" it's so cute!

Inaya Naimh is a really nice name :)

Used to babysit a Morven, or Marvin as the school kids called her so would tend to stay away from that IMHO.

Siobhan, Orla, Morna, Morven, Mhairi. Just trying to think of Scottish/Irish names off the top of my head, not necessarily ones which may "go" with your first name choice/s. Can I just say that Imara is absolutely beautiful - such a pretty name! It sounds lovely with Niamh too! Hope someone comes up with a good suggestion x ps good luck

I hadn't realised just how many Irish and Scottish names end in an -ah sound. It's taken me a long time to come up with first names I like and wasn't thinking about middles names not sounding right. I'm thinking Niamh might be the one but I'm not ready to settle on it yet.

Between you and MammyG, you've got my Mum's and Sister's first names, my middle name and some from both my and my sister's lists of potential first names (before I decided to go for a Swahili name), so you're obviously on my wavelength for names here.

I'm finding this all so difficult, I'm just grateful I'm not having twins or more! Sod's law it'll be a surprise boy now.

They end in 'ah' sounds, but I think they sound lovely with your first name choices.

Sinead or Siobhan? Not so common now, but both lovely names.

Liadan - name of an Irish poetess. I wanted this as DD's first name, but wasn't brave enough.

Faithleann - Fay-lawn, anglicized to Fallon

Meron? It's ancient scots and my DD1's first name, we spell it Merren though!
