Hi all

Pregnancy hormones may be driving my peculiar name considerations for boys, so feedback is welcome!
If you don't like any of them... would it be possible to say why?

Beaumont
Phoenix
Denver
Corbin
Stirling

I like names with a bit of a 'nature' theme.

Are they just too poncetastic? I happen to love them (Corbin is DH's choice however) but I am aware that my hormones may have removed me from the reality of yelling it out in the supermarket/park!

Are you American? Corbin, Denver & Beaumont used as first names more commonly in the US than GB.

Like the other posts, agree Stirling is the stand out name. Not personally keen on the others.

DinahRod · 29/08/2010 13:11

Oh and Denver can be a girl's name too in the US.

Thanks so very much for feedback all, good and bad!

I expected worse, to be honest Grin

Not due for a bit but thanks to all for comments, Stirling is in the lead so far!

They're not poncetastic but they do all sound to me as if they should be characters in Dallas or some other soap opera of the 1980s.

How about Jack or Oliver?

PosieParker · 29/08/2010 14:35

Love Stirling and Beau.

(I have an Artemus Somerset and so may not be the best person to advise on the poncetasticness of names)

llareggub · 29/08/2010 14:40

I don't think they are poncetastic at all. They are really not to my taste but if you like them, then that is what matters.

I have actually met a Denver, and he was very rough and tough and it suited him well.

Eglu · 29/08/2010 15:46

I am also loving Forbes atm, but it is also difficult to shorten.

Ho with Stirling it's great.

Alas, after an emergency scan at A&E last night it was revealed baby3monkeys didn't make it.

late MMC :(

Thanks so much for feedback all.
Fingers crossed next time I'll get to use one of the names.
