I love jane, Rose and Grace are nice but do sound a bit longboat ish with Claudia and they are very standard mn at the mo.

Claudia Jane sounds good. I like Claudia but it's quite strong. It needs something simple that won't compete with it.
Claudia means, lame? is that right? Well, amelia means limbless and Cecilia means blind .....

I was trying to be helpful by making the op aware of the name's meaning, in case she hadn't known. If she still chooses the name, fine. Some people care about a name's meaning others don't. Thats fine.

(Perhaps I've studied too much Latin ).

On our shortlist too...If we go for it it will be Grace, a family name, but I think it works nicely anyway.

Doesn't bother me, rather a beautiful name with a bad meaning than a bad name with a beautiful meaning.

We nearly went with Jean ( my favourite character in The West Wing was CJ - Claudia Jean) but ended up with Grace.
