Arlo - is it trendy now?

Hi
we had been happily planning to call our baby boy Arlo, believing it to be pretty unusual, when suddenly a friend called her baby Arlo & a nursery nurse mentioned it was getting very popular in London. Have any of you met any little Arlo`s? Is it actually quite fashionable?

Thanks for your advice

I know a couple of Arlo's (west London).

It was also the name of the little boy in the book 'Novel about my wife' which might account for some of its use.

There seem to be a few about. Natasha Kaplinsky has an Arlo I think/=. Arnaud is cooler in my humble opinion.

Tummytickler, would you say that names ending in o are become a bit stale now?

I haven't actually met one but have thought of it as a name getting more popular, in north London at least - along with Milo.

Valium - well, maybe. They do not sound very fresh to my ears. I just get that 'oh, another one' feel, the same way I would about Eve names, even though they are not quite as popular as that.
Will date big time imo.
I agree Arnaud is cooler.
Milo is so overdone also.

Not met any but have heard it mentioned much more. I like it though.

Love Jago which someone else mentioned earlier. I would have used this is a friend hadn't gotten to it first!

D0G- what about Rufus, Hector, Kester, or Magnus?

thankyou so much everyone for all your helpful comments - we definitely don`t want a trendy name so will be avoiding arlo!
many thanks
