I like Aelfric best. Alphonse is really overdone round our way.

bronze · 25/08/2010 16:18

Levis better

CuppaTeaJanice · 25/08/2010 16:18

Levi. It's younger and funkier than Mitchell, even though it's an Old Testament name.

Fluffypoms · 25/08/2010 16:18

Levi...
only because mitchell makes me think of eastenders. The Mitchells!!!

FallingWithStyle · 25/08/2010 16:19

Depends on the breed.
If it's a labrador then Mitchell, if it's a staffie then Levi.

NamedAfterTheBandActually · 25/08/2010 16:20

Hully you're back. Oh thank God for that, this place has gone to pot. Where the beggery feck have you been? What did it involve? Were you forced. Oh, I don't really care, you're back.

I like Ralph.

But I fancy David Mitchell.

Hard innit?

Fluffypoms · 25/08/2010 16:21

fallingwithstyle that was cheeky Wink

ilovesprouts · 25/08/2010 16:24

levi is nice

hippipotamiHasLost92lbs · 25/08/2010 16:25

But surely asking people only to comment if they like the name would give you a skewed view of how they would be perceived in RL?

ivykaty44 · 25/08/2010 16:25

levi

You don't recognise me?

I'm horrified.

I'm named after a band. Okay, somebody yesterday said I was named after an ad hoc democratic process. They were wrong. It merely appears that way.

I like the name Kerenhappuch. That's a girl's name though.

Hullygully · 25/08/2010 16:32

Oh yes!

Showaddywaddy, how are you darling? How I've pined!

Who is Umami? Isn't she paper-folding?

Have I been gone too long?

NamedAfterTheBandActually · 25/08/2010 16:38

Did you know Showaddywaddy are still touring? I heard it on radio four cool person's radio the other day. Touring to rave reviews apparently. Of course they may have got it wrong and the fans in their senility were just raving. Easy mistake.

By God you've been missed. People kept asking where you were. There was confusion, distress, mourning, election of a false idol, burning of said false idol, hysteria, loss of hope. It was all very Greek. I've been wrapped in a sheet for weeks with half a bush on my head, gesticulating wildly and inventing half-baked theorems.

I like Ptolemy too.

DastardlyandSmugly · 25/08/2010 16:39

Levi

Hullygully · 25/08/2010 16:40

I want a sex thread set to elevator music.

Hullygully · 25/08/2010 16:41

Levi is an anagram of Evil. Be careful.

Though Mitchell is an anagram of Lechtilm.

Hullygully · 25/08/2010 16:42
NamedAfterTheBandActually · 25/08/2010 16:44

Levi is also an anagram of vile.

Er...

clpsmum · 25/08/2010 16:44

Hippi - really didn't mean to sound in any way offensive asking people only to comment if they liked the name. we have been put off so many names by people telling us it was a dog's name, bullied by someone they went to school with who had that name etc etc. so we have eventually settled on these two names and just cannot decide between the two so was really wanting opinions one way or another rather than how they would be perceived in RL.

Also think MN can be really bitchy regarding name threads sometimes if you don't fit into the 'norm', so just didn't realy want to get a slagging about name choices as i have seen so many before me get!

Levi is cooler.

Esmediamond · 25/08/2010 16:46

Levi.

Hullygully · 25/08/2010 16:46

Ivle is nice, if twins they could be Ivle and Elvi.

Think outside the box, clapsmum!
