I need some ideas for old fashioned traditional names for our second son. I like Miles, husband likes Finn which I have gone off as seems so popular. Also liked Oscar but seems popular.
Our first son is called Louis so want something that will go with that.

Our DS is Harry George which are both traditional old-fashioned boys names. Both very regal - although that didn't occur to us at the time.

Other options (4 of which made our shortlist for DS):

Henry, Oliver, Jacob, Jeremy, Christopher, Charles, David, Jack, Joshua, Felix, William, Edward, Arthur, James, Joseph, Matthew, Luke, Mark, John, Archibold, Colin, Noah

Depends how old-fashioned you want to go. Try looking at historical figures, or 19th century / 18th century fiction, if you want to go back that far.

Unfortunately some of the old-fashioned names are becoming more popular these days.

I like Miles of your options. Not keen on Finn or Oscar.

How about Laurence, Frederick, Samuel, Peter, David, Edmund, Rufus, Theodore?

Oscar is a lovely name (I'm slightly biased though Wink )

Jack
Frederick
Harry
Thomas
Henry
Matthew
George
James
Jonathon/John
Alfred/Alfie

I think Louis is lovely. It would be well with:

Thomas (Tom)
Quentin (Quinn)
Henry
Laurence
Edward (Ed)
Samuel (Sam)

Miles is nice too (although I always read it as the plural of Mile Smile). Finn and Oscar a little too 'trendy' for me personally.

Really like Henry, Harry, Benjamin, Jacob. I think Miles would grow on me.
