We've named him Ted, but DH wants Ted Henry on the birth certificate, whereas I want Theodore Rex Henry (nn Ted).

We are both very tired.

Which would you go with? This'll be our last DC - am I trying to cram all my favourite names in??

I would put Theodore. I have a friend named Penny and she was FOREVER explaining at school that the name on her birth cert. was Penny not Penelope.

I'd go for the formal name which gives him more options.

Could you give in on the Rex if dh will give in on the Ted/Theodore thing?

Definately Theodore. Ted is sweet on a baby/small boy, but this way you're giving him the option to use a more "grown up" name in the future if he wants to. And THeodore is a great name.

Re multiple middle names - I think you need to be consistent - how many did you give the older DC?

Theodore Rex Henry sounds great.

Ted Henry sounds OK.

Theodore Henry

nn Ted

theodore rex henry!
sounds lovely, and if its using up all your favorite names then so much the better!

your dh still gets to call him ted as a nn anyway...so no one loses out really.Grin

Theodore Henry (without the Rex).
