I am sorry, but the enames you like are not unusual at all - in fact they are super popular.
How about

Violet
Greta
Phillipa
Lilian
Lilith
Lydia
Eyla
Saffron
Coral
Margot
Rosemary
Primrose
Eliza

These are pretty (imo), but a lot more unusual.

Not really keen on Oliver either.
How about
Otis
Otto
Gregor
Owen
Peter
Oren
Albert
Conrad
Arthur

i dont mean unusual in the world lol, i know they are picked these days, but i mean names that i have never came across people called them, ive come across lilys before.

Ava is lovely but is quite popular but if you want can be used as a nn for Avril or Avery, although it is quite popular I haven't actually ever met one I don't think

beckie90 · 12/08/2010 18:28

thats what i mean i know the names i like are prob quite popular, but i have never met one apart from lily, but im not that keen on that name anymore. ive only ever seen 1 isla and thats her off films, so i kinda like isla, but i dont know sometimes i think is it abit o.t.t.
i do like liam for a boy, but thats what my partner is called and although it is nice to call your child after there dad, i dont think id do it

Isla is lovely also, if you want it to be a bit more unusual you can spell it Aisla which is pronounced the same. Boys name like Liam are:

Aidan
Declan
Logan
Lucas
Owen
Ryan
Evan
Sean
Noah
Gavin
Ethan
Finn
Milo

I like Lyra and Leah for girls and Nathanial, Leo and Theo for boys.

beckie90 · 12/08/2010 18:48

yea thats good, i like that. i kinda like ethan, my mum picked that when she was pregnant, its soo hard thinking of names. with my last pregnancy i just couldnt pick a name he didnt get a name till he was born, and it wasnt even in my favourite names he just looked like a joshua so thats what i called him lol

If you really don't know, wait until the baby is born this time as well and see what they look like!

beckie90 · 12/08/2010 18:58

i know its a good bet isnt it, i found out last time what i was having but this time im not, so just want a few ideas of names for both sex, and then i can decide when the babys born although it wil prob be a boy :)

yea im not 100% with the oliver name im not even 50% lol, i just really find it hard to pick boys names, and there the most important as i think its defo gonna be a boy, but i dont seem to like any i think of its confusing.
i do like isla grace for a girl, but dont think my partner would like it, hes always said lillie, but do think its way 2 popular.

Lots and lots of Lilys (of various spellings and often as the first part of a hyphenated double) in schools at the moment.

Oliver - again - tonnes of these in infant schools in the posher bits of town. Not taught a bad one though - several boisterous but great kid underneath it all ones!

beckie90 · 13/08/2010 16:44

yea think they are a little 2 popular at the moment. god its hard picking these names.
any1 else got any suggestions????
