Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

DD is currently reading The Railway Children (E.Nesbit) and one of the main characters is Bobbie (Roberta). I love it.

TanteRose · 12/08/2010 15:51

lovely - and of course, her first word won't be "Mama" but "daddy, oh my daddy" Grin

tummytickler · 12/08/2010 16:58

I love it, but would use Bertie/Berta as a nn.

MamaLazarou · 12/08/2010 20:10

Love it!

BuntyPenfold · 13/08/2010 11:46

Know a Barbara nn Bobbie - very sweet
Not keen on Roberta tbh

geordieminx · 13/08/2010 11:48

Friend is Roberta (she is italian), and gets Robbie, which she suits.

violethill · 13/08/2010 16:13

Roberta is very elegant. Prefer Bertie rather than Bobby as a nn though

Aeldredida · 13/08/2010 16:15

I like it a lot!
