Anyone ever chosen a first name that doesn't work with their surname? We're sorely tempted.

It's something along the lines of 'Violet House' - if we have a girl. Could be cool but might she hate us for eternity?

So, has anyone thrown caution to the wind in this respect?

Thanks. It's not in Annette Curtain territory (did anyone really do that to a child, surely by marriage..)?

It's very close, possibly marginally 'worse' than Violet House but don't want to out myself. Not sure whether uber caution is usually preferable in this sort of scenario?

Interested to hear from anyone who has done it.

I wanted to call my DC2 Honey but with our surname it was just too porn star-ishGrin. So it depends on what connotations it brings to mind eg Scarlet Hall makes me think high class brothel I'm afraid! Indigo Castle on the other hand, is merely a bit hippyish.
