What do you think of Saskia?

What do you think of Saskia as a girl's name? It's listed on Mumsnet's Baby Name Finder.

My DH is Dutch, so we want to go for a Dutch name.

I don't mind it being shortened to Sas or Sassy, but is it easy enough to pronounce?

I like it, and yes it's easy to pronounce

I love it - my friend's dd (11) is called that and she really suits it. It's easy to pronounce and good for all age stages.

Saskia is great. Mariska is also similar. I know all about the difficulties of finding a name that works in dutch and english.

Just for a laugh, try having a conversation with him about Eve/Eva Anne/Anne type names - guaranteed mind-bending potential. lol.

It's not one I'd stumble over doing the register in school (which is my standard for if a name's easy to say).
