Mint? WTF?

Oscar ok but a bit yawn, Violet lovely but becoming v popular.

telsa · 03/08/2010 11:54

Violet is beautiful. I like Mint, though I am sure it will become Minty.

kiwidreamer · 03/08/2010 12:01

Sorry but Mint, really????? I'm personally not a fan of that as first name - Mint / Munt / Munter (is Munter slang here?? Mint as in Mint Condition / Excellent / Awesome is common slang in NZ too)

Oscar is okay, I've friends with a pug dog called Oscar so its not a name I'd personally gravitate towards.

Violet was my Grandmothers name and if I ever have a little girl I'll use it for her middle name.

Sorry, on reflection maybe I'm the only one who'd take Mint to Munt and then to Munter - that's probably not really a direction the average British person would go.

Violet is lovely.

I don't like Oscar.

Mint could grow on me!

mathanxiety · 03/08/2010 20:44

Mint is growing all over my garden, and you're welcome to it.

I prefer Iolanthe or Iola to Violet.

I like Oscar though.

BelligerentGhoul · 03/08/2010 20:48

Violet and Oscar are nice. Mint, if not a mistake, is beyond bonkers.

proudfoot · 03/08/2010 20:58

Oscar and Violet are becoming more and more popular but are both nice classics. Mint is crazy!

mumtoabeautifulbabyboy · 03/08/2010 21:07
