Joscelyn - masculine or feminine?

I prefer it on a man but I've gotten a few raised eyebrows when I've mentioned it.

I wouldn't spell it with the 's' but I've always taken it to be a girl's name

Was on my list for a girl (spelt the fm way) although firmly vetoed by dh. Think it has a feminine lilt to it.

I actually didn't mean to put the "S" in the title! I would spell it Jocelyn, too. I know a few French men with that spelling.

I quite like Jocelyn as a girls' name but prefer Josephine. I have never heard of it as a boys' name and the "lyn" ending sounds feminine to me. I prefer many of the other boys' names beginning with J, such as Joshua, Jerome or Josiah.

I worked with a lady called Jocelyne, and my sis went to school with a girl called Jocelyn. I used to know a boy called Joscelin and felt sorry for him for having a girly name.
