Opinions please on spelling and suggestions for a middle name please

Our current choice for DD is Megan.

Thoughts?

We are torn because we have such different preferences. I would like something everyone has heard of and can spell whereas hubby wants something a bit more original ie i like Katie and he likes Peyton! Megan we have decided is in the middle. Common enough that people can spell and pronounce but unusual enough (around here anyway!)not to be, Which Megan?

I just want to check that the 'proper'/ english/ best spelling is Megan and not Meghan?

Also if you have any suggestions of lovely girly middle names it would be appreciated!
Surname begins with W and is two syllables.

I think if you want something more original Megan is far from it. It was on the top 10 list for many years about 12 years ago (when I had my oldest) on the other hand if you like it it is inoffensive and everyone can say it

I would vote for Megan as thats how everyone is going to spell it anyway..

but if you are looking for unusual but not weird then perhaps look over the top 100 list so you get an idea of what is common Megan is currently 15th

I think the usual spelling is Megan.

One baby name website here says Meghan is an "American pseudo-Irish spelling of Megan".

By the way, I think Megan is a lovely name

i would spell it Megan

I do not want original- that is DH and so if he is happy with Megan then I am going to grab it and run! lol Otherwise our daughter may end up with god knows what as a first name!
