Aster and Dashiell

Asking for my cousin who is pregnant with a boy, already has a gorgeous DD called Aster.

Do Aster and Dashiell (pron. Dashul, nn. Dash) go together well? I think so. The 'as' sound makes my cousin worried that they clash.

Beautiful. The A has the same sound in each and they relate well - one is AS and one is ASH so really it's only the A that's similar, and in a nice way.

If it was Ashter and Dashiell then I'd say no, but Aster and Dashiell are fab.

Both very nice and go well together

I'm not a huge fan of the names, but I do think they compliment each other quite well. Both not everyday names (I knew one Asta in childhood, obv different spelling, but that's it) but not "out there" non-names either. I don't think they clash at all.

I think they're great together. I love Aster.

I like them, plus they go well together.

My 5 yr old son keeps asking me if we can start calling him Dashiell instead of his actual name so he can be Dash for short (inspired by the little boy from The Incredibles)- I really like it and would be considering it for our bump except my DH has vetoed it. I agree it also goes well with Aster.
