I have one gorgeous ds, and naming him was a bit of an issue - i wanted something a bit 'unusual' and dh wanted classic, and we couldn't agree. We ended with a compromise (Euan) and i'm happy (now) and it suits him but i've always had a couple of doubts. I want to be totally happy next time but can't think of anything that wows me that dh would also like and, that goes with Euan! I love celtic type names and nature names. suggestions welcome!

that's lovely but i worry it sounds odd having rhyming names? half the names i like end in an/en!

could i get away with it?

Are you def having a boy then?
Would DH go for a surnamey name as a compromise? Maybe there's a natureish/Celtic surname that could suit.

Eg Finlay

I knew brothers Euan and Stuart. Not sure that there are many Stuarts around - and not sure if it's popular enough either - if that makes sense.

my dh would love some of those - of the above rowan my fave tho. I like far more pretty sounding names than him (he would say hippy). He likes strong names (i would say old man like) we just can't agree!

names i love but he vetoed were oran/osian (love o names) caleb, moses.

Still not sure the rhyming sibling thing would work?

I have 3 dc, a DD called Jade, DS1 called Logan, DS2 called Ayden, and am currently 15+5 with DC4. We have chosen : Amethyst for a girl, to go with Jade, or Reuben for a boy, to go with the boys names. I don't see a problem with the 'ending' of the names sounding the same. The only thing we vetoed was Kegan as it sounded too similar to Logan.
