We had settled on Rose/Rosie (I know it's popular but I love it) but DH hs decided last minute that he really doesn't like it. He likes Lily and I don't...Our DD is called Poppy so we're looking for a name that goes -happy, warm, fun, not too traditional, but not too pretentious either. Any ideas?

Hmm, they are both pretty! Violet springs to mind. Or Martha, something like that.

How about Rosanna, Rosy or Anny NNs?

Or Clara, Cate, Iris, Eliza, Nell, Tess....

Delphine/Delphie, Fleur, Flora, Floriane, Greta, Sadie, Maisie, Marina?

Kitty
Rosa
Blossom
Rosy
Posy

Are you staying with flowers?
I love both rose and lily,
Valeriane, Veronique/ca, Iris, Violet, Anemone, camelia/camille, Clover, Daisy, fern, Hortense/ia, Eglantine, Amaranth/amarante, Holly, Hyacynthe, Jasmine, petunia, rosemary or close enough like delphine, flora, sylvie/a.
Some of those are horrible, so take your pick.

Amber
Scarlett

What about Susie and Poppy?

they go, but in a less obvious way. Personally, I'd avoid another flower name.

I think Libby or Susie (just as they are, not short for anything) would be great sister names for a Poppy.

I like Amber, but Scarlett is harsh.

If you're sticking with flowers you're limited apart from those already suggested above, but if you're looking for girlie and short, how about Ruby or April or similar...?
