What can Ophelia be shortened to?

Given that it's the only name DH and I agree on, our DD is very likely to be called Ophelia.

I'm struggling to think however what it can be shortened to... Not keen on Fee which seems to be the obvious route.

Any ideas? Thanks!

feel-ya.

Um, why does it have to be shortened? And what's wrong with Fee?

Lazylion · 19/07/2010 18:28

fi-fi

PuppyMonkey · 19/07/2010 18:31

Offy - handy for when you want some alcohol.

Fifi is a great nickname!

Shaz10 · 19/07/2010 18:34

Uff Uff (that thing that Makka Pakka has)

WinkyWinkola · 19/07/2010 18:50

Fifi. That's what my Ophelia gets called.

secunda · 19/07/2010 18:57

Just O?

Or Ollie?

Binkster · 19/07/2010 20:56

I think you could just about get away with Effie, which is lovely!

CapitalText · 19/07/2010 21:02

Ola?

jkklpu · 19/07/2010 21:03

Fee, which people will think is Fiona

Mahraih · 19/07/2010 21:05

Effie is, as Binkster suggested, lovely. I have never met a mean Effie!

MummyLovesSadie · 19/07/2010 21:14

Pheely - one of the characters in Fiona Walkers books.

deemented · 19/07/2010 21:21

Opie - pronounced as in Oh-pee, not Oh-pie.

I like it though, lovely name.

AmandaHuginkiss · 20/07/2010 00:07

Philly. That's what I'd call a friend called Ophelia
