Unless you're expecting to have a golden retriever I'd definately leave Rex off the list personally

Wait until baby is born. Lots of people change the name when they see the baby. My eldest two nearly had different names (DD1 had a different middle name for 24 hours after birth).

I quite like Rex. Lots of 'dog's names are used by humans: Oscar, Rufus etc.

Frank. Or Edward shortened to Ted. But agree with waiting till he arrives for the final decision. I did.

I will see what he looks like when he arrives - Arthur wasn't Arthur for a few days (we'd settled on Ernest before we saw him, so have a history of changing our opinion!).
