Has anyone else had their (unusual but cool and as yet undiscovered) name nicked by a d-lister?

I have one DD. No plans for another baby but have a boy name and a girl name in reserve. I had to fight DP for the girl one as it's the one I wanted to call DD but chickened out of/felt too much of a madwoman for. It's quite old-fashioned but to me is the perfect cute as a kid/good as an adult name. It also fits in with my adoration of old movie stars/ pin ups.

And now some no-good Reveal/Now Magazine Talent Vacuum regular has gone and pinched it for their bambina , surely initiating a slew of even more sad wannabes naming their kids the same name?

It puts me right off the name now, such is my disgust at said d-listers

Will said D-lister still be in the "news" in 5 years? I wouldn't worry about it - if you love the name, you do - and who knows? You could move house next year and your new neighbours are using the very same name.

Is it Striker, in tribute to the hero of 1980 spoof classic Airplane? I think it's a great name, FWIW

FWIW the name I used for DS3 has been used a few times by minor slebs since he was born and hasn't made me dislike the name..
