Baby monitor thermostat

I have a 5 week old baby girl and my house thermostat that controls the heating and the baby monitor thermostat are saying two different temperatures. My home thermostat is saying the house is 20c but my BT Digital Audio Baby Monitor 450 Lightshow Two-Way Talkback And Music Sound is saying 27c. I don’t know what to do I have scared myself when reading about summer and newborns as one of them mentioned SIDs and heat. I have closed the curtains, opened my window and put the fan on but the temperature isn’t changing on the baby monitor. When I first turned it on it said 25c and within 2 minutes it’s went up to 27 and not coming down I have also stripped my baby girl down to her vest and now she’s stirring. Can some help is the baby monitor thermostat wrong ?

Does the room feel hot? Sounds like you're doing the right thing with fan and windows open.

Can you open the curtains so some cool air comes in?

The room feels warm but not 27c the home thermostat has gone up by 21c and my partner but the baby monitor to the fridge to see if the temperature would go down but it went up to 28c so I don’t know I know it’s slightly to warm for her but I think I scared my self more than anything. I had PND with my last baby so my anxiety is really high with this one.

You are over thinking this. Firstly, does your baby feel hot/clammy to the touch? If not she was probably ok in a vest/sleep suit and thin blanket. Next, where was the baby monitor positioned? Move it to near the crib and away from windows/sun traps. Also a room that was 27 Deg would feel hot, whereas a 20 Deg room would feel comfortable but not like you needed to strip down.

I’m definitely over thinking this and it is next to her mosses basket. Like I said in the comment before I’ve had PND with my son so my anxiety is high now with my newborn girl she feels slightly warm but not sweaty nor clammys she’s in just a vest now with no blanket as all the ones I have are fluffy or thick but since taking her onesie off she’s been unsettled xx
