Baby monitor recommendations

Okay so I have the owlet smart sock which is a breathing and heart rate monitor which can be worn til 18 months. Definitely recommend the piece of mind. You can buy the attached camera but it’s very new, as opposed to the sock which is tried and tested. For this reason i bought an angelcare video monitor ( I got the one with movement pads as I’m kinda worried about her hitting her head when she moves from our room to her own - she rolls like mad now at 6 months) but I hear the Motorola ones are the best. One thing to say though the video monitors not really needed until you move them to their own room so no real rush.

I had a couple of different baby monitors with my first but they are prehistoric when you consider the tech available these days.

This time round I got a Lollipop camera from amazon which you can view crystal clear on your phone, and wraps round the bars of the cot so you can angle it perfectly.

Also has lullabies and all that nonsense but you don’t need any of that.

I’ve got the BT 6000. Good camera, range, reliable

I didn’t want one on my phone due to the risk of apps being unsecure

Additionally the by 6000 can have multiple cameras added to one handset. I’ve got 2 under 2 so needed to have multiple cameras but didn’t want more than one handset

I had a BT one both times. First time was audio only, had lights for the ceiling and lullaby's etc. The lights freaked DS out, the only lullaby that would actually have been useful was the white sound option which I didn't discover until he'd stopped bloody needing it (MONTHS of ridiculous looping YouTube tracks and sacrificing a phone each evening. MONTHS).
Second time round I got the BT video monitor and I absolutely loved being able to see them both, hilarious to watch how much my toddler got up to when I thought he was asleep. The talk function was helpful as well, mostly to tell him to get back to bed
I didn't want a video initially because I thought it would make me obsessed but actually it was just really nice to check in on them occasionally

We use an AngelCare which has an under-the-mattress movement monitor. Expensive but definitely recommend

Hi just jumping on an older thread here, @LouiseTrees do you have any issues with the Owlet app/how it works? We are looking to buy the sock but read so many awful reviews about the app in the UK!

I am in search for a baby monitor for my little niece. She needs her heart rate and oxygen monitored for medical reasons. I was looking at Liip baby monitor bracelet, anyone know someone with any experience in having this product?
