Any Baby monitor recommendations which include: Video; Sound; Movement & option for distance watching (app etc)

Hi all

Would really appreciate any recommendations on baby monitors which feature all the above options. We had an AngelCare on our list (1300 i think?) but the reviews all said the battery was awful.

Any recommendations? Particularly interested in one which would allow the option for working parent (and perhaps maybe even relatives abroad) to log into an app (or something) and be able to see video feed of baby.

Budget 150-200

some which we looked at:

  1. Panasonic Smart Home KX-HN6001EW Baby Monitor Kit With Hub Indoor Camera ---> says should be 150 on this website but current 200 on amazon and bad reviews

  2. Nokia Home – Video & Air Quality Monitor --> seems to fit most criteria but not greats reviews particularly on the streaming / app side

  3. iBaby M6T Wireless Video Baby --> seems to fit the bill, price not too high and good reviews. Havent heard of brand though - any experience from anyone?

  4. Motorola Portable Smart Nursery --> on discount but v.bad reviews on amazon

Saw this one on an american website but dont think they have them in UK?

Nothing particularly pops up on this review apart from iBaby M6S ...but is it better than the M6T mentioned above? M6T is 2nd gen and lower priced vs the M6S 3rd gen

Many thanks in advance for any advice / experience

Kind regards

I've got the Motorola connect. It's this one on sale at John Lewis

https://www.johnlewis.com/motorola-mbp667-digital-video-baby-monitor/p3321636?sku=237138274&skwcid=2dx92700027454054429&tmad=c&tmcampid=2&gclid=EAIaIQobChMImmvL-Ie23AIV75ztCh0GLgMLEAQYASABEgKHIDDBwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

I think it's fantastic for the price. It does visual, audio, you can play music or talk over the monitor and it has an app that you can view the camera from. I think there's an option to pay for saved historical video for a paid premium each month.

@spugzbunny

thank you for your message. looking at the product am i correct that it doesnt have motion sensor?

also, can the video monitoring be done remote i.e. not just over wifi?

why did you chose this one above other options?

thank you!

hi @Joshmumsnet

thank you for your reply. have to admit none of those in your link seem to stand out vs the ones mentioned in the previous post by myself.

cant tell if the summer infant one has all the items req. ie motion & app.

at moment leaning towards M6T / M6S

although saying that reading the reviews whilst many are v.good some worrying ones about baby monitor hacking on the m6s and also some bad feedback from some about android app :(

hi all

i think weve decided to buy the following 2 products. seemed easier to get all features through 2 separate ones rather than finding something all in 1.

has anyone had any experience with these? seem like they have good reviews

Sense-U Baby Breathing Monitor

Bigasuo Baby Monitor
