Hi Parents, We are conducting some research for a product for a college project to help reduce the number of times that new parents need to get up in the night to change nappies and would love your input. The aim of the product would be able to detect if a number 2 had been done and the nappy needed changing. This would reduce the number of times that you need to get up and also disturbance to the baby in the night. If you could answer just 7 questions below we would be very thankful.

I don’t know one parent who wakes up specifically to check if their baby has done a poop.

If a baby is uncomfortable because of a dirty nappy they let you know soon enough Grin

I would say most of the time if a baby has done a pooh then it would cry and wake parents up anyway... therefore most people would check on baby..

Maybe a mat with a... I was gonna say weight sensor but I don’t think it would make a difference? Or a nappy that can tell consistency of passed bodily fluid? This will probably cost a fortune and be very unpracticle. A smell sensor? Confused
