Hi, I'm a cosleeping, highly paranoid, highly attached parent but my not so little baby is now sleeping more and more in her nursery (because we keep waking her up!) and I keep going in to check she's ok ie still alive (yes I am that bad!) so thinking of getting a video monitor. We have a sound one and its fine but I still end up checking her..
Please recommend me a monitor, I think she's a bit old for the angelcare system x

I got the BT Video Monitor 1000 I'm quite happy with it. It was a toss-up between that and another one, perhaps from something like Summer Infant? Anyway, as the BT reviews I read said, the resolution is medium especially the night-vision one, but it's plenty good for me to see the baby! I choose it because the others had some reports of interference with wifi, even though they all claimed not to, and DH really cares about his wifi. If you don't have that paranoia to deal with, it might be worth exploring one with a little better resolution. Perhaps someone will along with another suggestion. But, as I said, I'm quite happy with it.

It has the ability to add extra cameras, which I thought would be something I wouldn't use, having only one baby... but I recently got another one where I can watch her playing around the corner, and quite like that ability now.

I quite like the video. We got it because I was worried about the baby rolling off our big bed, and I wanted to be able to see her. I now like it as she tends to wake up very quietly and crawl around and then sit up. If I can go in before she gets off the bed (which several months later, she can now do on her own) and gets into my drawers, it is good!

Hi there, I would be the same as you if I didn't have a video monitor! I knew I would be before my baby was born so invested in video monitor & honestly, the one we bought - the Motorola MBP33 Digital Video Monitor with 2.8 Inch Colour LCD Screen - is amazing. It enabled us to put baby in nursery from day one, and we never go in to check on him because we just glance at the screen. The result is a baby who sleeps really well with uninterrupted quality sleep & used to his own room, and parents who can chill out elsewhere in the house, having dinner/ watching TV etc. knowing he's fine! A friend recommended this monitor, and it is fantastic.
