I have bought two BT monitors and don't know which one to return! A monitor with video or a digital monitor with lightshow?

Well, if I can be totally honest, both of them. If it's a video one, you may very well spend the whole night watching them and if you are going to do that you might as well be in the bedroom as you wont get anything else done. If you dont plan on watching the video, no need for a video monitor.

As for the light show one, I found stuff like lights, mobiles, music etc actually distracted dd and just kept her awake.

Sorry to be blunt but I found a basic bog standard one just fine.

I love my video one. I don't spend all night watching DS it's useful for when he makes a noise/sets it off and you can have a quick look to see if you need to go to him or not. No going into his room when you don't have to disturbing him.
