I think I might have Myasthenia Gravis

.....but am I actually easily influenced by the Internet??? I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's a few years ago and I have read that there is a connection. A few people have mentioned that my right eyelid droops and I am finding it increasingly hard to read later in the day even with glasses as I get double vision. I stopped driving at night a few years ago because of this. Funnily enough a decade ago a medical friend told me he thought it was a possibility from looking at my face. I took offence and never checked it out. 😆 Should I go to my GP? Symptoms come and go but have got worse this summer.

It certainly sounds as if you need to see somebody asap.
My myasthenia was diagnosed by my optician. My first symptom was double vision that started to happen when I moved my eyes sideways, then gradually got worse until I found I couldn't watch TV or look at anything really without the image splitting and the two images drifting further and further apart.
The optician wrote an urgent letter to my gp and I was referred to the hospital eye clinic and neurology consultant. Mine progressed to muscle weakness, particularly my jaw and throat, which made eating difficult.
Early diagnosis is important and there is treatment.

I am now in remission but still have double vision, corrected by glasses. I am retired so don't do a lot of driving and not at night. But I can drive short distances. I had to do a lot of paperwork for the DVLA. My licence has to be renewed every 3 years and I have to answer the same questions about my vision each time.
I have to wear my glasses all the time, can't manage without them and they cost a fortune.
