Removed gluten from my diet - psoriasis is dramatically worse

I'm only on day 10 so I wonder if perversely my immune system is on overdrive. Has anyone else had this experience and how long / did it settle down?

I've also stopped Enstilar as I felt it was no longer working. I was using Enstilar about three times a week.

I'm 52 and I have guttate psoriasis that appeared only 6 years ago after a hysterectomy.

Could you be replacing your old diet with one that has spiked inflammation? I had the exact opposite reaction.

There's no evidence that cutting gluten helps psoriasis.

Is it possible that the Enstillar was doing more than you realised and what you're experiencing is steroid kickback? If you don't taper steroids slowly this often happens.

Are you replacing it with gluten free breads etc? Or whole foods? If the former id try cutting those or making your own a while and see what happens.

It may be that you’re reacting to what you’ve replaced it with. I don’t do well with gluten, but all of the replacements are horrific for me! I’ve never found anything as effective for making me ill as supermarket gluten free bread.

A healing crisis? Gets worse before it gets better.

I haven't introduced any new foods to replace eg bread. I have a really good whole food diet (I think). I'll give it some more time I guess. Thanks for your replies
