Hashimotos/hypothyroid weird throat feeling

I've recently become aware of a weird pressure in my throat, towards the top. It feels like my throat is closing or has been karate chopped in a line along my neck/throat. Its worse when lying down at the end of the day. Sometimes in the morning my throat/neck feel quite tight. Also feels odd swallowing, not like a lump as such but just an odd sensation. Thinking about it i may have had this on and off for a while but these past few weeks its been getting quite bad.

Anyone else relate/any ideas/suggestions? Have tried to get a GP appt with no luck so now waiting up to 3 working days for some contact after using the NHS app!

Do you have a diagnosis of hypothyroid, or are you asking if what you are feeling is a symptom?
Anxiety can give a tight throat feeling. Would you say you suffer with anxiety?

Sorry, to clarify I do already have a diagnosis. Have been on levothyroxine for around 13 years.. was just wondering if this is an odd symptom anyone else suffers with?

I do sometimes have anxiety but not that bad. Interesting it could be that

Yup, I have that. I find it's much more pronounced after exercise or a large meal.
Got sent for a neck ultrasound and the iodine uptake scan. All came back as "it's enlarged but no suspicious lumps/bumps/collections"
So untill it gets more uncomfortable and I have trouble swallowing more they won't do anything.
The anti bodies test came back as Hashimotos is likely for me, but currently not on any medication.

It’s possible you have a goiter which is causing this feeling in your throat. Goiters are common with thyroid issues but need checking.
