Nursing Student with a cold

Hey, I am a nursing student and I have to go to clinical tomorrow, but I have a pretty bad cold. I would like to know what you would say about it from the family side. I am immunocompromised and plan to wash my hands often and wear a mask at the bedside for patient comfort. It will be at the hospice. Is this appropriate? If I don't go then I will be penalized by my program.

Contact the hospice and ask them.

As above. I work as a Nurse in the community, we see a lot of vulnerable people with frailty, respiratory disease and heart failure. We are still told to go in unless feeling too unwell. Even with Covid we are told to mask up and get on with it.

Wear a mask at all times indoors, not just at bedside and ask if you can stay away from patients.
