Advice from fellow coeliacs

Afternoon all, I was diagnosed with coeliac disease about 2 years ago (I'm
55) and have followed a gluten free diet ever since. I've been much better gut wise and the diagnosis explained a lot.
However, I'm now on day 6 with diarrhoea and tummy pain-I haven't been glutened to my knowledge.
Not sure how much longer to put up with it before seeing the doctor. Any advice welcome!

If you’re getting symptoms that feel like your usual glutening then I generally do a back to basics, I’m 55 and have both dc 20 and 21 also diagnosed

check staples: has a manufacturer changed their recipe? Did you buy a new replacement product that this could have occurred with

Lipstick/ salve? Anything you put on your lips can be ingested, have you changed things up for summer?

check for recalls, sometimes products slip through with manufacturers and only get found when reports flood in

is someone or something accidentally cross contaminating you? Kids home from Uni/ pets with biscuit crumbs

if you can’t find a possible reason then I usually reduce our intake down to core safe foods and monitor reintroduction from there

One last thought, are you eating Oats? I react to Oats but neither DC does, it is possible to start reacting to other things at our age, I’ve picked up a couple of food allergies this decade
