I have recently started using Infliximab for Crohn's disease, I had skin issues as soon as I started the first infusion. I'm now on injection and it's working well apart from skin.
I have developed dry flaky skin, red skin, and very itchy ankles and feet.
Does anyone else have these issues? How are you dealing with it
Currently I use Hydromol, Aveeno, prescription antihistamines. The worst bits are my eyelids but the itchy feet and ankles are driving me potty!
I saw the IBD team this week and they are going to refer me to a dermatologist which will take months for an appointment.
The only other option was to stop Infliximab and try a different one but possibly won't be as effective for the Crohn's.
I'd be grateful to hear of any other suggestions how to help with this.
