Potential chrons diagnosis but doesn't seem to fit?

My symptoms came on suddenly back in June;
Bloating (constant but painful after food)
Lower right back pain (constant)
Can't eat properly - feel full very quickly
Losing weight - have lost 22lb since June and still losing now

However, stools are generally ok - sometimes loose but not watery. More mucous like but often just normal, Sometimes I go twice a day sometimes every other day.

It's not being able to eat that bothers me most, after any food I feel like I've eaten a 5 course meal for hours afterwards.

I have had a clear US, a clear upper endoscopy and today I got the results of an abdominal CT scan. Consultant said it shows some thickening at the end of the small bowel and he's referring me for a small bowel MRI (he said this will be before Xmas - but not sure if this is cos he works at a private hospital although I am an NHS patient)

He said it is possibly chrons. So obviously I've done some Googling. Is this possible to just come on like this? And would it not effect my stools more if it was?

Any experiences would be helpful. I'm just so fed up and want to be able to eat like a normal person again.

Just to add- my calprotectin was normal back in July as was my ESR. My CRP was only slightly raised at 7

Absolutely nothing apart from the mucus in your description sounds anything like Crohn's to me or my sister (both long term crohn's).

Urgh. I didn't think so either. But that's the only suggestion he came up with as to why my bowl wall would be thickened.

Can anyone help me with my situation? 8 Yr old son has had frequent poos 3 times a day not exactly solid and a bit windy. He's not ill in the fact he eats well, has energy, never off school or tired, does complain of stomach ache occasionally. Hubby took him to docs, he did a stool test showing high feacalcalpro . Now having bloods and referred to gastro. I'm terrified it may be chrons . We have no history of it or UC.This idea he may have chrons has thrown me completely.

Hey OP, I know this was some time ago but how have you been since?
