Methotrexate and sore throat?

The advice on the NHS site is to contact your GP if you get a sore throat while taking methotrexate. Does anyone actually do this? I can't imagine the GP receptionist will consider this in any way urgent! Mostly I think it will get better on its own - the whole house is full of colds...

Am also on this and have had sore throats, never called gp. I did get a nasty virus recently and got far more ill than my family so went for a quick check for chest inf.

We always inform gp if dd gets a sore throat. It's only happened twice but they've took bloods and checked her over. It's a dangerous drug with devastating consequences if you're not careful so we always take her for her bloods regularly etc. never had a problem with secretary not thinking it's important

Just get blood test to check, gp gave me a just incase blood test form

Thanks. I have a regular blood test tomorrow anyway, so will ask then.
